We Love Late Summer

We love late Summer. The air is still warm, but the days are crisp. The skies at night are spectacular, especially the full moon this week.  Coffee seems to taste better at the fire pit in the morning. It’s time to cut firewood for the stone fireplace and wood stove. Guests with dogs enjoy how they run over the fields. Some folks go to Millers Bakery for apple fritters or fresh apple pie.  Except for the cicadas, it’s really quiet in the evening. I have a photographer friend who told me that the sky at this time of year gives a sharp edge to everything because of the way the sun hits the earth approaching fall. She said you can see the edges of leaves looking through trees and horizons are clear and bright.
